The ulcer that is caused along the inner line of the stomach which caused normally due to the break up of the tissues in the stomach is termed as the gastric ulcer. The stomach produces juices that aid in digestion process which contain hydrochloric acid.

When the secretion exceeds the requirement, the acid reacts with the inner lining of the stomach causing irritation and then infection. The secretion of the acid exceeds the requirement due to irregular eating habits and due to the intake of spicy foods.

However it may also be caused due to prolonged smoking, drinking and intake of foods which are hard to digest and even due to genetics. It causes bacteria to thrive in the acid region resulting increase in the level of urea and bacteria in the blood. Prolonged intake of anti inflammatory medicines like aspirin may also be a cause for the occurrence of the gastric ulcers. It may also be caused due to the continuous intake of coffee and lack of proper exercise program.

The symptoms of the gastric ulcers are pain in the abdomen, vomiting, pain during eating, sudden wait loss. It is generally common in the old than in the youngsters or in the middle age people. It is only a disorder and not a contagious disease. It can be easily prevented by following a balanced nutritional diet, avoiding spicy foods, coffee, smoking and drinking, following a regular exercise program, reducing the oil level in the food and by avoiding over eating or by eating lesser which increases the production of the acid in the stomach.

Diet for Hyperacidity

Hyperacidity is a problem caused mainly due to the improper diet and stress. The hyperacidity problem is mainly due to the diet problem. When the diet is taken properly the maximum risk of hyperacidity is reduced. So it also better to follow a strict diet especially when you are affected by hyperacidity.

The diet you are consuming must always contain all the necessary constituents’ nutrients that are required by the body for efficient functioning. Legumes are the important type of food that has to be added to your diet this is because they are the important sources of protein. So it is always better to take at least a legume each day.

Taking legume each day will prevent you from getting hyperacidity. Also it is a very good food item when you are affected by hyperacidity. Fresh fruits and salads have to be taken daily to prevent hyperacidity. The fruits when taken will help in prevent the inner layer of stomach getting affected by the acids. The salads and fruits will make a good deal when you are affected by the hyperacidity.

Spicy foods and oily foods have to be avoided to control the hyperacidity. These are the food items that are capable of increasing the acid content in the body. Then the food items such as lemon and tamarind contains acids. So when these food items are consumed it causes increase in the quantity of acid in the stomach leading to further problems. The most important thing is that every food item has to be cooked well before eating so that the digestion takes place easily.
