Hyperacidity is not something that can’t happen to you. The symptoms are prominent and you would get to know if you are suffering from the same. Most of the times it has been noticed that people experience acidity after eating certain types of food, if this is the case with you – you should not worry. Experiencing acidity once on a while as a reaction to acidity causing food is normal. You should be alarmed when the acidity is persisting. This is one of the most prominent symptoms of one being affected by hyperacidity.
There are some people who experience pain in the upper abdomen. This pain is usually followed by food consumption and is there for relatively short time duration. This could be due to eating food that are quite spicy or may be due to over eating. This is an indication of hyperacidity.
Some people feel nauseated and vomit as well. At times, they vomit blood in extreme situations. They would not feel like eating for a relatively greater period of time, which could extend to 2-3 days sometimes. The others might feel full after having a very small meal. This is like a fake repletion after an inadequate intake of meal.
Bloating or abdominal distension and flatulence is experienced by some. Some could have blood present in their stool.
The crux is that hyperacidity is the result of excess secretion of acids in the stomach and stomach being the vital organ in the digestive system would go for a toss. If you notice a problem that could be connected to the excessive secretion of acids in your stomach could be a possible symptom of hyperacidity and would require immediate attention.
Hyperacidity could not be that serious a problem but the disease it could lead to, if is not treated are really harmful.

We eat as per what we like, often we forget what is there in our food and how is it contributing to the health problems that we might be facing. One of the common concerns these days is the hyperacidity.
Hyperacidity could be caused due to Idiopathic; prolonged indigestion of any anti inflammatory drugs or aspirin, or alcohol ingestion; consuming highly seasoned foods – chilli, pickles etc; smoking or stress.
The world “hyperacidity” means excess of secretion of acid from the stomach. Stomach is a vital part of the digestive system. As you know, we have certain acids in our stomach that helps digesting food. When these acids are secreted out of the stomach into the tube that connects the mouth, throat and the stomach – could be the cause of man acid reflux problems. One of these concerns is hyperacidity.
The common symptoms indicating hyperacidity are listed as below –
1. The person experiencing the hyperacidity might feel pain for a short period of time in the upper abdomen. This is usually followed by the consumption of a large meal, aspirin or spicy food of some sort.
2. People feel nauseated, may or may not vomit. They usually do not feel like eating and this may persist for a day or two.
3. As there is inflammation in the tube, that connects the mouth, throat and the stomach due to the acid back flow – heartburn and sour belching could be surfaced.
4. A person might feel replete without having adequate meal
5. Bloating or abdominal distension could be sensed
6. Flatulence
7. Blood could be visible in the stool or the person could be vomiting blood.
8. A persistent gastritis could cause anaemia in some cases.
If you are encountering any or few of these symptoms then the chances are that you gave hyperacidity, which needs medical attention.
