Chronic Gastritis

The inflammation caused along the inner line of the stomach caused mostly due the infection is termed as the chronic gastritis. In most of the cases it is caused due to prolonged use of pain killers like aspirin. The primary symptoms of the disease are pain in the abdomen, loss of weight and vomiting. It is mainly caused due to a bacterium which causes infection in the stomach. Sometimes there are no symptoms which results in ulcers and sometimes even more complicated diseases like gastric cancer.

The treatment for the chronic gastritis depends on the way by which it is caused. If the cause is due to the infection caused by the helicobacter pyroli then it can be treated by antibiotic therapy. Antacids help in eliminating the symptoms and aids in the healing of the disease. Medicines which aid in the promotion of the chronic gastritis should be avoided permanently. The serious complications of the disease are gastric cancer and severe loss of blood.

The successful curing of the disease is possible when it is diagnosed at an early stage. It can be treated by conventional methods or by herbal treatments. It is just a disorder and very rarely transmitted between humans and when diagnosed at an early stage it is non fatal.

However it can be prevented mainly by avoiding the prolonged usage of pain killers like aspirin. The patients suffering from the disease should strictly avoid smoking, drinking and eating spicy food. Consumption of coffee should be avoided. Nutritional and a balanced diet should be followed. A regular exercise program should be followed.
